Why it is different
Private first
Most note-takers send a bot into your meeting and keep the recording. Jotopus does neither.
Audio is never kept
Only the words are saved. The sound itself is thrown away as soon as it has been turned into text.
Words made on your computer
On the desktop app, speech is turned into words on your own computer with Whisper. Want even more accuracy? You can choose a cloud speech service instead, which keeps nothing: only the words come back.
Voices stay local
The desktop app can learn who is speaking. Those voices are remembered on your computer only. It is off until you turn it on.
Private lines
Mark a line private and it never goes into notes, shared links or searches. Not even your own.

Is my audio recorded?
No. Jotopus keeps the words only. The audio is never kept. If you switch on "More accurate", each stretch of sound is sent to a speech service that keeps nothing, and only the words come back.
Will it get names and accents right?
Tell Jotopus the people and businesses you deal with and it listens for them, then corrects any it still misheard, keeping what it first heard so you can check. For a busy room, switch on "More accurate" in Settings.
Does a bot join my calls?
No. Jotopus listens on your own device. Nothing joins the meeting.
Who can see my meetings?
Only you, until you choose to share them with your team.
Which devices does it work on?
Windows, Mac with Apple Silicon, your phone’s web browser, and any modern browser.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. You keep read access to your notes after you cancel.
