Deleting your data
How to have your data removed, and what we hold in the first place.
You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time, and we will. This page says how, and what happens next. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains the rest.
How to ask
Email ash@arsmarttechsolutions.co.uk with the subject Delete my data. Tell us enough to find you — the email address or Facebook name you dealt with us under is usually plenty. You do not have to give a reason.
We will confirm within 5 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days, which is the limit UK GDPR sets. If we cannot delete something, we will tell you what and why rather than quietly leave it.
What we hold about Facebook users
Very little, and it is worth being plain about it. Our Facebook app posts to our own Facebook Page. It is used by Ashley Reynolds and nobody else, and it exists so our own marketing posts go out on schedule.
- The Page access token that lets us post to our own Page. Held in our automation system, never shared, and revoked when it is no longer needed.
- Our own posts and their public engagement numbers — likes, comments and reach — so we can see which posts were worth writing. These are our own Page's figures, not anything about you personally.
- The name of the Page owner (Ashley Reynolds), returned when the app signs in.
We do not collect, store or process the personal data of people who visit, follow, like or comment on our Page. If you comment on one of our posts, that comment lives on Facebook under Facebook's own terms — delete it there and it is gone; we hold no copy.
Removing the app's access yourself
If you have connected a Facebook account to anything of ours, you can cut that off without asking us. On Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, find the app, and remove it. That revokes its access immediately. You are welcome to email us as well and we will delete our side.
What we keep, and why
Where the law requires it, we keep the minimum for as long as it requires and no longer — invoices and records of work done, for tax purposes, for six years. We will say so explicitly if it applies to you. Everything else goes.
If you are not satisfied
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
